Small house by swampy pond Positive: Some effort has been put into this small house, could be made decent with a bit more care. Negative: On arrival, we were unable to enter the house. It took over 30 minutes to gain access to the key box in back as the code was not working. Looking around the property, I saw not a lake, but a trashy and swampy end of a pond. The house seemed decent at first, but we discovered many issues- no wash clothes, no extra toilet paper, not enough towels, mismatched and scraped up pans, dirty silverware drawer, high dusting not done. On request, wash clothes, etc were ordered through Amazon. We found dirty towels and were able to wash some more of those. Unfortunately, toilet paper took three days to arrive and we had to buy our own. After two days there, the water heater quit and we were stuck without hot water for two days there. After complaining, we were promised a partial refund, which has not happened after a month. So, I can honestly say this is one of the worst stays I've ever had. This is too bad. Other than what I would call the false advertising of saying this is a Cottage by a Lake, the house has potential to be a nice place to stay. That would require someone putting in more care and effort than just ordering items and expecting that cleaning and other services will make the place livable without them actually spending the time to check on these things.

Great weekend getaway location. Positive: Great quiet location. Very comfy house. Negative: Lighting was an issue for us. The kitchen/dining room light needs to be MUCH brighter.

We stayed here mid-summer and found it to be a quiet little neighborhood of houses nearby some of our favorite areas north of Detroit. It was a cozy, peaceful place to rest after a long day of walking around in Bloomfield Hills and Birmingham. Everything was neat and clean.

Clean, updated home. Easy location not far from Great Lakes Crossing I came for the shopping and some peace and quiet.
